During World War II, the Vought F4U Corsair could out-run, out-gun, and out-climb any prop-driven fighter plane proffered by the opposition. In 2019, the Lincoln Corsair fills a niche in its aviation-themed lineup of luxury SUVs.
Serving the subcompact-to-compact market with tech and flair, the Corsair joins the Navigator and the Aviator this fall. The Corsair is packed with new and exciting features for the enjoyment of Glendale, WI drivers, including:
- Your choice of two 4-cylinder turbocharged engines - The two-liter model delivers 250 horsepower and 275 foot-pounds of torque; the larger 2.3-liter variant manages 280 horsepower and 310 foot-pounds of torque for your Milwaukee outings. Front wheel drive is standard on the two-liter engine, although all wheel drive is available as an option. On the 2.3-liter model, AWD is standard. There are hints at a hybrid power train at some point in the future.
- Speed sign recognition - One of the Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 suite of innovative safety gadgets, SSR will automatically adjust your Corsair’s speed if you’re cruising at 70 mph and come across a speed limit sign for 55. Also included in the 360 package are stop-and-go assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and pedestrian detection, features that will make your Mequon commute safer.
- Power-assisted 24-way seats - Both driver and front-seat passenger can adjust their seats for optimum comfort as you cruise through Menomonee Falls. The rear seat crew will enjoy the option of manually sliding and reclining seats.
- Unique full-width air vents - These look mean and vent air more efficiently as you travel in Wauwatosa and beyond.
- Phone-as-a-key technology - Store settings such as your favorite radio station, drive mode, seat, and climate settings and activate them with your compatible smartphone.
